Heather Sawicky

Heather has over 30 years of experience in dance with 10+ years of teaching, She has studied tap, jazz, ballet, lyrical, hip hop and gymnastics. She has taught students of all ages from 3 to 60+ years. For 3 years she was co-owner of Sternfeld Dance Studio but stepped down last summer so she can have more time with her family.  When she was only 2 1/2 years old she started dancing at Sternfeld Dance Studio under the instruction of Jean Vilers. At age 9 she joined the competition team making it to Nationals numerous times. While she's studied many different forms of dance her favorites are lyrical and tap. Heather is looking forward to this next journey as a dance instructor teaching at Vibe!

Denise Adriance Gilhooly

Training for Denise began at age eight under Elizabeth Schneider Hanson at Ballet Arts in Beacon, NY where she danced advancing roles in two major productions yearly. She was
awarded a Ford Foundation Grant, as well as full scholarships at both the School of American Ballet and American Ballet Theater in NYC. At fifteen she was casted to perform with the NYC Ballet's 25th Silver Anniversary “The Nutcracker” at Lincoln Center under the direction of (none other than) George Balanchine.
Denise has performed traditional and original works with the former Dutchess and Orange County Ballet Companies, at Princeton Invitationals, at the former Bennett College in
Millbrook, NY (from which she graduated with honors,) the Dancer's Workshop in Burlington, NJ, as well as performing live original choreography for major television through the Miss America Pageant (in 1972.)
Teaching, or the passing of curriculum, dance vocabulary and traditions of the art form from teacher to student has been her main focus for the past...some forty years! She has worked with various southern Dutchess studios, (including returning to Ballet Arts under director Valerie Feit,) also for a non-profit grant-funded program in inner city Newburgh, Orange County, plus more recently in studios in the northern Dutchess area, as well as developing pre-school programs at NDH Wellness Center, collaborating with Funshine Nursery School and “Explore” RHCSD. Denise had also been choreographer for several RHCSD's musical productions, including “The Wizard of Oz” with a cast of 82!

Lauren Grady

Lauren Grady began her dance training approximately 29 years ago at the Artistic Dance Academy under Linda Giancaspro (Istvan Rabovsky and Nora Kovach of the Bolshoi Ballet). At the Artistic Dance Academy, she studied Russian Vagonova style ballet and jazz dance. In 1997 she began studying classical ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and lyrical dance at Taps-N-Toes, Inc.  After given the opportunity to apprentice with various instructors from Taps-N-Toes, Inc. in 1998, she found her true love… teaching dance.  In 2000, Lauren was accepted to the Western Connecticut State University Dance Team. Here, it was Khalda Logan-Eaton (Alvin Ailey American Dance Center and Nicholasleichterdance Modern Dance Company) that introduced Lauren to modern dance.  Lauren preformed frequently and choreographed several pieces for the team. She was even awarded the Coaches Recognition Award in 2003. Since 1999, Lauren has instructed children from ages 2 and up in various dance forms including: creative movement, classical ballet, jazz, hip-hop, and lyrical dance.  Lauren also taught Gymnastics at Karen's World of Gymnastics for 4 year. After teaching in various dance studios, she was inspired by past students to open her own dance studio. Here, Lauren hopes to provide her students with a place filled with joy and encouragement to succeed. Lauren enjoys taking weekly classes locally and at the Broadway Dance Center. When not at the studio, Lauren loves to be home with her two children and husband.  

Allie Hammerling

Allie started dancing at the ripe age of 3. She has studied all forms of dance including Hip-Hop, Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Pointe, and Lyrical. She has also studied Gymnastics for a number of years. Allie joined Energy Dance Company in 2003. With Energy Dance Company, Allie trains in Reggae, Step Dancing, Popping & Locking, Break Dancing, Salsa, other Latin styles, and many more. She also enjoys competing at dance competitions. She has won first place in local dance competitions as well as National Dance Competitions. Recently, she won second place with her dance team at the world famous Apollo Theater in Harlem. Allie is excited to be teaching Hip Hop and Acro this year at Vibe Dance Studio.
